There's a lot written about AI these days, especially in security magazines, but as someone who’s now immersed in AI and robotics everyday, I’ve seen firsthand how these technologies are changing the security industry forever.
AI enables security teams to move from passive monitoring to proactive threat detection and response.
Manufacturers continue to integrate AI into their product lines to improve functionality, but the big impact as an industry will be in improving our responses. Because while AI can analyze situations as they unfold and identify potential risks, taking immediate action changes the game.
Here’s how this transformation is taking shape:

AI systems analyze massive amount of data in real-time, allowing for immediate identification of potential threats that traditional methods can miss. For instance, in retail stores, AI can monitor customer behavior and detect anomalies, such as loitering in front of entrances or exits, which can create an uncomfortable or unsafe environment for customers trying to enter the establishment.
